In this video it is shown how it is possible to cut 3/8″ hardened boron alloy steel square link Italian security chain with just 36″ bolt cutter.
In the first portion of the video you can witness how easy and fast you can do it if you cut through the corners of the link first; while later on you see how much more dificult is to cut the same link using standard cutting through sides of the link. Basically if you position chain link at about 45 degrees so that it touches bolt cutter blades at just two points it is way easier to cut although positioning might take some time.
