01 an oil hardening carbon manganese tool steel, used in press tools, gauges, taps and screwing tools. A2 an air hardening, cold work, tool steel. Delivering medium resistance to wear and good machinability. Used in punch dies and blanking tool sets. D2 steel which is a high carbon and chromium, cold work tool steel. Good resistance and very high strength for heavy duty tools. D3 steel which is similar to D2, but can attain even higher strength. We also have H13, M2, M42, P20, tool steels.
