https://www.island.net/~macduff2 This is the lightest bar constructed from an 3/4in. aluminium rod, with heavy duty clamping, the tighter the screw the harder it grips, make a couple and they will stand up without support blocks on any flat surface for sash or door clamping. the heel on the rod is a slack fit and the placement of the grabber screws has to be precise, one up at the front, the other low at the back takes up the slack and they are placed as such to make the heel slightly toe in towards the head when pressure clamping it will perpendicular to the rod. Coming soon the lighter 3/4in dowel bar clamp, macduff having to revisit the heel with a different design as the dowel does not have the same grip with the grabber screws but the design is still of a solid nature, for lighter clamping
