Heat 34CrNiMo6 round steel slowly to the temperature of 850°C;
Soak at this hardening temperature quench in oil;
Temper as soon as 34CrNiMo6 steels reach room temperature.
Heat uniformly to the suitable temperature;
Withdraw from the furnace and cool in the air.
The usual tempering temperature is 600°C which depending on the actual requirements.

Hot forming temperature: 1100-900oC.

These valves feature an undercut stem in the head area. In addition to reducing the valve weight (which provides benefits in opening rate and RPM limits), the radius of the head significantly improves air/fuel flow. They enjoy great success when used with stock heads, as well as modified versions. Our Valves are fully swirl polished and feature Chromed stems and Stellite tips.
These Valves are also Black nitride Coated, this is a hardening treatment that even though it is not as widely used as the chrome coating, it has several benefits and is becoming more popular for use in European and Japanese applications.

Micro hardness that is higher than the stainless steel base material, keeping good ductility beneath the hard nitrated layer.
Surface finish that is smoother than chromed valve stems, meaning less friction between the stem and guide.

The nitrated layer is adhered to the base material at microscopic level, so it will not “flake” or brake when the valves bend due to impacts with the pistons.
