I decided to get creative with the GoPro at the MVP Track Time track day on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at Road America. The camera is mounted to the custom splitter I designed just before the event.
The video is rather long, but there are lots of great views that I decided to have in the video. It starts with the warm up lap and the first lap. Then goes to individual cornering and braking shots. Then finishes with a full lap. The whole thing accompanied by the sounds of the Jackson Racing Supercharger.
The control arms are V8 Roadsters Tubular Control Arms. It is a Spec Miata Suspension Kit (Bilstein dampers, Eibach springs (700 lbs/in), Eibach sway bars). The brakes are WIlwood Dynalite forged calipers with DBA 11″ discs in the front.

It’s a show down between Auxbeam’s 20W Philips Spotlight and Rigid Industries Hyperspot light. The first difference most folks notice right away is the price. The Auxbeam’s sell for $58 and the Rigids are $208 on amazon. So many folks think they are the same and try to save a buck…. the question is, is it the best course of action?
This light review is strictly my opinion and I have received any endorsement for this video.

Rigid Industries D-Series LED light produces extremely high output while consuming very little power. Its compact size and shape allow the D-Series LED light to fit almost anywhere and be used for virtually any lighting application. Specter Optics – Rigid Industries’ patented Specter optics system features 50 percentage more LED’s than Rigid Industries’ Hybrid optics in the same footprint and is specifically designed to cover more area. By incorporating a reflector with no facets or orange peel, the Specter optics system produces an intense, smooth beam with minimal wasted light. Hyperspot 5 degree ultra-narrow concentrated spot beam pattern for long distance applications. Patent pending aperture system blocks unused light for a clean beam. Highest intensity per watt or square inch on the market as well as maximum distance quality construction, Rigid Industries’ circuitry is designed in-house to be more powerful, be more efficient, and generate less heat. Rigid Industries’ durable aluminum housings feature custom, over-sized heat sinks which keep the temperature down and allow Rigid Industries’ LED’s to run cooler and brighter. All Rigid Industries LED lights receive a high quality powder coat finish, a custom-molded rubber seal, and an unbreakable, scratch resistant lens. Rigid Industries LED lights are engineered to withstand whatever you, the road, or nature can throw at them.
