5.Heat Treatment of 34CrNiMo6 Engineering Steel
Quenched and Tempered (Q+T) of 34CrNiMo6 Steel
Heat 34CrNiMo6 round steel slowly to the temperature of 850°C;
Soak at this hardening temperature quench in oil;
Temper as soon as 34CrNiMo6 steels reach room temperature.
Heat uniformly to the suitable temperature;
Withdraw from the furnace and cool in the air.
The usual tempering temperature is 600°C which depending on the actual requirements.

and tempered condition. It can be machined by all conventional methods.
alloy materials can be fusion or resistance welded. Preheat and post
heat weld procedures should be followed when welding this alloy by
34CrNiMo6 steel is used to make tools which demands good plasticity and
high strength. It is usually selected to make the big size and important
parts, such as heavy machinery axle,turbine shaft blade, high load of
transmission parts, fasteners, crank shafts, gears, as well as heavily
loaded parts for motor construction etc.
Otai Steel is reliable to
supply engineering 34CrNiMo6 steels / 1.6582 engineering alloy steels.

HSS drill bits are designed to drill into a wide variety of materials such as metals, plastics and wood. All tradesmen will use them, as will most DIY’ers and home owners. HSS (High Speed Steel) drills are also known by many as ‘Jobber’ drills. HSS drills are not all manufactured to the same high standards and quality can vary dramatically. Poor quality drills will lead to very poor performance and a drill bit that will go blunt almost immediately. Irwin have been specialists in drilling for years and are well known for supplying top quality drill bits into industry and manufacturing.
This professional 15 piece HSS set has been developed for trade use. The drill bits have 135° Split Point tips to reduce slipping, which is a common fault in many other HSS drills. The edges are precision ground so that the cutting angles are consistent and provide fast, clean cuts time and time again. This, along with the flute design along the shank, enables waste material to be removed quickly and efficiently. Again, this will result in a faster, cleaner and more accurate holes. This is critical if you are working to specific sizes and tolerances. They are ideal for metal, wood and plastic.
The set is supplied in a robust lockable case. Each drill bit is stored in its own hole with an easy to read size guide for quick identification.

From models, Fourte directly fabricates products through the process of Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM). Working from the model allows quick and accurate prototyping. A Wire EDM machine cuts hardened tool steel accurately. The process uses from .004″ to .012″ wire to cut the parts. An EDM machine is a large power supply that displaces molecules from the part being cut to the wire running through the machine. The power supply on the EDM machine has settings for different types of metals and thicknesses. It breaks the molecular bond of the material and plates it on the wire.
During wire EDM machining a thin single-strand metal wire, usually brass, is fed through the work piece. The machining typically occurs submerged in a tank of dielectric fluid. The process is used to cut punches, tools and dies from hard metals that are too difficult to machine by other methods. The wire, which is constantly fed from a spool, is held between upper and lower diamond guides. The guides, CNC controlled, move in the x–y plane. The upper guide can also move independently in the z–u–v space.
Fourte can provide prototype to production EDM parts. This discipline of manufacturing can be performed at our site in the Silicon Valley of the San Francisco bay area or our offshore facility.
