    EN 34CrNiMo6 Steel
is an important alloy engineering steel grade as per BS EN
10083-3:2006. 34CrNim06 steel has high strength, high toughness and good
hardenability. EN / DIN 34CrNiMo6 alloy steel has the stability of
resistance to overheating, but the white sensitivity of 34CrNiM06 is
high. It also has the temper brittleness, so the weldability of
34CrNiMo6 material is poor. The steel 34CrNiMo6 needs the high
temperature preheating before welding in order to eliminate the stress
    after welding processing.

5.Heat Treatment of 34CrNiMo6 Engineering Steel

Quenched and Tempered (Q+T) of 34CrNiMo6 Steel

    • Heat 34CrNiMo6 round steel slowly to the temperature of 850°C;

    • Soak at this hardening temperature quench in oil;

    • Temper as soon as 34CrNiMo6 steels reach room temperature.

    • Heat uniformly to the suitable temperature;

    • Withdraw from the furnace and cool in the air.

    • The usual tempering temperature is 600°C which depending on the actual requirements.

    6.Forging of DIN 34CrNiMo6 / 1.6582 Steel

    Hot forming temperature: 1100-900oC.

    7.Machinability of Steel 34CrNiMo6

    Machining
is best done with this 1.6582 alloy steel in the annealed or normalized
and tempered condition. It can be machined by all conventional methods.

    8.Welding

    The
alloy materials can be fusion or resistance welded. Preheat and post
heat weld procedures should be followed when welding this alloy by
    established methods.

    9.Application

    EN DIN
34CrNiMo6 steel is used to make tools which demands good plasticity and
high strength. It is usually selected to make the big size and important
parts, such as heavy machinery axle, turbine shaft blade, high load of
transmission parts, fasteners, crank shafts, gears, as well as heavily
loaded parts for motor construction etc.

    Otai Steel is reliable to
supply engineering 34CrNiMo6 steels / 1.6582 engineering alloy steels.

E.T. Duval & Sons, Inc. 978-537-7596. http://www.etduval.com We deliver the quality welding, custom metal fabrication and water jet cutting available. No matter how large or how small the project, we can handle it! We routinely carry a wide variety of materials in multiple sizes. Let us know what materials you need for your next project. We are able to supply to your specifications.

Our custom fabrication shop offers a range of services to an array of industries. From replacement parts to custom products, our services fit your every need.

    Design & Fabrication:
Let us handle your custom fabrication project for industrial & commercial use. We can design, cut, bend and assemble your parts and pieces to your specification.

    Engineering:
We can design and create virtually anything that you can think of. Give us your CAD designs or we can design it for you. We cater to all of your mechanical and structural needs.

    Welding:
We can create light and heavy weldments in aluminum, steel & stainless steel. Our MIG and TIG welders are among the best in the industry.

Gas Metal Arc Welding or GMAW (otherwise known as MIG Welding or MAG Welding) is the most commonly used welding process in the industry; due to its ease of adaptation, speed, and versatility.

Gas Tungsten Arc Welding or GTAW (otherwise known as TIG Welding) the most common use for TIG Welding is for welding thin sections of stainless steel. It is also used to weld copper alloys, aluminum, and magnesium.

    Steel Fabrication:
We specialize in shearing, sawing, rolling, press break work, punch press work
    & general machining

    Water Jet Cutting:
Our waterjet cutter can cut virtually any material! Waterjet Cutting (also known as Water Jet Cutting) is a process by which the machine cuts through a material or substance using using a high-pressure stream of water. Waterjet Cutting is the preferred method to avoid melting and burning of surfaces.

We have the ability to machine intricate parts out of almost any material:

    Hot Rolled Plate
    Stainless Steel
    Tool Steel
    Aluminum
    Titanium
    Copper
    Tungston
    Glass
    Rubber
    Ceramics
    Lexan
    Brass

http://www.palmerfoundry.com/hyduct5/ – As the leader in vacuum tight and dimensionally stable aluminum castings, Palmer Foundry is proud to announce the launch of a new alloy, HyDuct5. This alloy is perfect for applications where high ductility is required.

In applications where human lives are at stake, some cast parts need to be engineered to flex or bend without failing in an overload situation. HyDuct5 mitigates the limitations of standard alloys that have poor dimensional stability, substandard machining characteristics, poor corrosion resistance and weak anodization properties.

HyDuct5 has been developed specifically to solve high-performance and demanding engineering challenges. HyDuct5 can be used to create near net shape components that require minimal machining which results in a cost effective solution for critical industrial machinery, performance marine applications and highly cosmetic parts.

Palmer Foundry can help you choose the right alloy for your application and has served the high technology market since 1976. We have the experience necessary to help you design and implement successful casting applications.
